It allows our team to be able to view and preview dozens of vessels, which in turn allows us to be able to offer guidance to Sellers about the marketplace, sales and the competition for their boat.

Marketing:

Having your yacht marketed correctly is of critical in getting it sold. This starts with an objective assessment of your boat and where it stands in the marketplace from other vessels currently on the market and even more importantly what has recently sold. As such we will give a free market evaluation on what we think the vessel will sell for, based on these factors, as well as what you should do to maximize the selling time and price for your yacht. A lot of Sellers make the initial mistake of listing their yacht with the broker that gives them the highest “evaluation”. In our decades of experience, we feel that pricing a vessel correctly from the start is critical in not only selling the boat within a reasonable period of time but also maximizes the selling price, although this may sound counter-intuitive at first.

Yachts, just like most consumable products garner the most activity and interest when they first come on the market. Consequently a boat that is priced too high, will not only get no offers, but will eventually languish and be ignored in the marketplace, even though the price gets reduced to below what it could have sold for, since most people assume that there is something wrong with a boat if it’s been on the market for years! The only thing wrong very often, is the fact that it was priced too high to start with. We have seen this happen time and again, initial pricing is critical to maximizing the selling price!

We have participated in International Boat Shows, from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach, Monaco and Cannes and believe that Boat Shows are a critical component to get maximum exposure for the yacht, when combined with e-mail, internet and print marketing campaigns.
